Iranian Regime-Linked Cleric Protests Soleimani Killing with CAIR and NIAC, by John Rossomando

Who is this "Iranian regime-linked cleric that John Rossomando speaks of?

A Detroit-area Shiite imam with direct ties to Iran's leadership used a press conference last week to push disinformation and propaganda about the U.S. killing of Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps' (IRGC) Quds Force Gen. Qasem Soleimani.

OK, so he's a Detroit area imam. There are a few. And we already know that some of the more higher profile imams have made it clear to anyone who is listening that they support our enemies.

Imam Mohammad Ali Elahi's regime ties were never mentioned in the Detroit News' story. Instead, Elahi, imam at the Dearborn Heights-based Islamic House of Wisdom, was presented as just another concerned cleric.

Of course! Imam Elahi! As if his ties to Iran weren't already known.

But we know that neither of our Detroit newspapers dare expose Elahi's ties to Iran for they would surely be called "Islamophobic." We also know that our big time Jewish organizations are keeping their traps shut because they're sure that interfaith outreach will solve our problems. Oh, and Elahi also has spoken out against Donald Trump, even though he has been less than honest in his criticism. We know that some Jews will make self-destructive allowances for fellow Trump haters.

But speaking of Elahi's ties to Iran:

Ayatollah Khomeini reportedly appointed Elahi as head of the "ideological and political department" of the Iranian Navy in 1979 after the revolution.
Elahi wrote on the Islamic House of Wisdom's Facebook page that he was close to former Iranian President Hashemi Rafsanjani, with whom he spent time in prison under the shah. Their friendship continued after he became president of Iran, Elahi claimed.
He met with former Iranian President Mohammad Khatami during a March 2017 trip to Iran, describing a "friendly conversation" about Khatami's eight years as president and his memories of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini.
Elahi also met with current President Hassan Rouhani in 2014 as part of a delegation of American Muslim leaders.
Elahi's mosque celebrated the 35th anniversary of Iran's 1979 Islamic Revolution in 2014, complete with a cake. Elahi praised the late Khomeini as a man of political vision and faith.
Elahi called longtime Hizballah spiritual adviser Ayatollah Mohammed Hussein Fadlallah "a great scholar." A post on his now-deleted website showed that he met with Fadlallah, CBN News reported.

There's more. Read and pass it on.
