Rashida Tlaib and Friends: Updated
Here is a photo of Rashida Tlaib and her pal Abbas Hamideh. He describes himself on Twitter as a,
"Palestinian Right of Return Activist/Organizer. The right-wing media says I support Hamas & Hezbollah. Founder: Al-Awda, Right of Return Movement. #Palestine".
Hamideh was at Tlaib's swearing-in ceremony and was invited to a private dinner afterward. When pressed on the issue by the ADL, she answered:
“Right-wing media targeting me again rather than focusing on the President’s reckless government shutdown,” said Tlaib, who is one of two Democrats in the US House of Representatives who have endorsed the boycott Israel movement. “Yes, I am Muslim and Palestinian. Get over it.”
Tlaib told The Detroit Free Press last week, “A photo does not mean I agree with anything someone says. It is obvious this man thrives on media attention from his recent posts. It’s unfortunate that he was successful. I do not agree with the statements brought to my attention.”
According to Hamideh though:
"Now, she knows me well, don’t get me wrong, and I know her well through her campaign and stuff like that—like we’ve met numerous times [at] numerous events,” said Hamideh.
So, at the very least they travel in the same circles, and she does agree with some of what he says. We're only bringing this up because of a recent tweet by Hamideh:
Notice if you will, Hamideh's use of the term, "ZioNazis." The word "zio" was popularized among white supremacist, David Duke as a shorthand for "ZioNazis." We are not suggesting that Hamideh is a white supremacist, but he and David Duke apparently think alike on some issues. And of course, no matter how much she may deny it, Tlaib and Hamideh are on the same Jew-hating page.
And speaking of Rashida Tlaib's grandmother, she may not be as oppressed and poverty-stricken as Tlaib would have us believe. According to Akiva Bigman at Israel Hayom:
What is it really like to live in the Palestinian village Beit-Ur al-Fauqa, where Rep. Rashida Tlaib’s grandmother and other family members live? Are conditions there as bad as she has claimed?
If you look at the Facebook profiles of people who actually live there, you will discover that things are actually not bad at all.
Achiam Tlaib, for example, drives a brand new BMW. On his Facebook account, you can see that his family lives in a very comfortable three-story building.
Raja Tlaib shared on his Facebook account pictures of himself posing next to his new Mercedes, wearing an expensive suit. He also has pictures showing him working out in a gym that has the latest equipment.
Mawaid Tlaib uploaded pictures of his vacations in Italy and other places, and Anas Tlaib has a very expensive Mercedes.
Samach Tlaib drives a BMW and Niaf Tlaib drives a Corvette convertible and uploaded pictures posing next to his new home under construction, also with three stories
Not that we are claiming that Tlaib is less than honest or that her tears over her grandmother's "plight" didn't come from her heart, but . . .
