Democrats Aren't Even Trying to Hide it Anymore

It's not just Bernie Sanders. The rot is growing. Democratic presidential candidates, knowing that on their worst day they can still count on the majority of the Jewish vote, have been working against Israel and cozying up to anti-Semites.

Daniel Greenfield on Pete Buttigeig:

When Buttigieg was running a conservative city with an active Jewish and Christian community, where it’s not unusual to see churches flying the Israeli flag, it was safe for him to be more pro-Israel. On the campaign trail of a radical primary, where anti-Israel protesters dogged his steps, things changed.

But the bigger answer goes inside the foreign policy factory to see how the sausage gets made.

Buttigieg’s foreign policy team is headed by Doug Wilson. Wilson, Obama's Assistant Secretary of Defense for Public Affairs and the highest-ranking gay Pentagon official, is an obvious choice. Wilson chairs the Board of Advisors at the Truman National Security Project making him the guy to talk to for 2020 Democrats like Buttigieg interested in developing a foreign policy position at the national level.

The second member of Buttigieg’s foreign policy advisory team named in the media is Tarek Ghani, the son of Ashraf Ghani, the president of Afghanistan, a Paul and Daisy Soros Fellow, who is a senior economic advisor to the other Soros’ International Crisis Group. There is an obvious conflict with the son of the president of Afghanistan advising a man running to be the president of the United States.

But the most crucial name on the team list is Ned Price.

Price was the deputy of Ben Rhodes. As Obama’s National Security Council spokesman, Price worked closely together with Rhodes, who had boasted of creating an echo chamber in the media.

That echo chamber manufactured a pro-Iran and anti-Israel narrative.

A New York Times story profiled the echo chamber in action as Rhodes used Price to spin the crisis that ensued when Iran took ten American sailors hostage and humiliated them in front of the world.

Buttigeig has surrounded himself with anti-Israel advisors because he knows which way the wind is blowing. He's willing to ignore the evidence, change his beliefs, and make Israel collateral damage in his quest for the White House.

The lust for power is strong and can overcome simple morality. That is also true for Corey Booker.

“I live in Newark so we have famous Mosque 25, we have Nation of Islam there,” Booker stated at the breakfast. “As mayor I met with lots of folks talking to [Farrakhan]. I have heard Minister Farrakhan’s speeches for a lot of my life, so I don’t feel like I need to do that, but I’m not one of these people that says I wouldn’t sit down with anybody to hear what they have to say. But I live on a neighborhood where I’m getting guys on the streets offering and selling his works. I am very familiar with Minister Louis Farrakhan and his beliefs and his values.”

I understand that there are a lot of Jews who would vote for Farrakhan himself if he ran against Trump - or any Republican. For those Jews whose irrational Trump hatred might be wavering, we will keep reporting on the Democrats - who have the Jewish vote locked up so tightly, they don't even have to apologize for supporting people like Farrakhan or Linda Sarsour, or for giving prestigious cabinet posts to obvious anti-Semites like Ilhan Omar. I may be wrong, but it seems like the feeling for Jews among elected democrats runs the gamut from nonchalance to disdain.

Stay informed.
