Jewish Groups are Attacking Mort Klein and ZOA

We at MJAC have posted over and over about major Jewish groups rejecting Judaism and working for the Jewish people in favor of working for their favorite progressive causes and "tikkun olam."

ZOA is the one going against that trend, and it's angering some Jews. In typical "progressive" fashion, they make it clear that only one opinion is allowed, and there can be no dissension from approved thought.

A coalition of Jewish and pro-Israel groups have called for Morton Klein, president of the Zionist Organization of America, to be expelled from Jewish umbrella groups, accusing him of "bigotry" and "hatred" following a number of tweets by Klein in which he accused Black Lives Matter (BLM) of antisemitism and promoting violence.
"As progressive pro-Israel organizations and members of the American Jewish community, we are appalled and outraged by the bigotry and hatred expressed and promoted by Morton Klein, president of the Zionist Organization of America (ZOA), at this painful and important moment of reckoning for our country," the signatories wrote. "Klein’s latest outbursts and long track record of bigotry should make him unwelcome in any mainstream Jewish communal spaces and should lead to his expulsion from organizational umbrella groups such as the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations."

For being correct about BLM, ZOA and Mort Klein must, of course, be ostracized. Facts don't matter. There is no attempt to examine past statements of BLM, its founders or members to see if perhaps there is something to what Klein has said. Their past anti-Zionism and anti-Semitism must be ignored. Conformity of thought is paramount. Going against the current orthodoxy constitutes a thought crime, and so they label Klein a racist. So much for the ancient Jewish tradition of debating issues to arrive at the truth.

Of course, not all of the groups seeking Klein's head are truly pro-Israel.

The statement was jointly issued by Jewish student group J Street, the New Israel Fund, Partners for Progressive Israel, Reconstructing Judaism, The Reconstructionist Rabbinical Association and T’ruah, and joined by Nancy Kaufman, past CEO of the National Council of Jewish Women.

Apparently, we are at the "post-truth" stage of society.

Meanwhile, from Caroline Glick:

The main voice from within the conference that spoke out against this destructive decision was Mort Klein and the ZOA. The ZOA compiled a dossier of all the anti-Jewish activities that HIAS carried out during Lob's tenure as chairman of its board.

Yes, going against the grain again, Klein and ZOA have also spoken out against Diane Lob. A partial list of organizations trying to remove Klein from The Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations include:

Marilyn Wind, President, MERCAZ USA; Sheila Katz, CEO, National Council of Jewish Women; Rabbi Jacob Blumenthal, Chief Executive, Rabbinical Assembly; Rabbi Rick Jacobs, President , Union of Reform Judaism; Ann Toback, CEO, The Workers Circle; Leslie Lichter, Interim CEO, United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism; Rabbi Marla Feldman, Executive Director, Women of Reform Judaism; Rabbi Ellen S. Wolintz-Fields, Executive Director, Women’s League for Conservative Judaism.

Yes, it's not just the radical "tikkun olam" groups. Klein has sinned and must be punished.

Is it any wonder that anti-Semitism in increasing when major Jewish organizations are attacking Jews who get out of line?

Klein, to his credit, has not backed down from his criticisms. Recently speaking about BLM, Klein continued his habit of telling the truth:

Mort Klein, president of the Zionist Organization of America (ZOA) said that "Jews are scared to death of Black Lives Matter."
During an interview with SiriusXM’s "Breitbart News Sunday," Klein ripped the organization as "anti-Israel and antisemitic" and noted the Marxist beliefs exhibited by the group.
"Black Lives Matter is not only anti-Israel and antisemitic," Klein told host Joel Pollak. "They're anti-American. They want to defund all the police, get rid of the entire U.S. military armamentarium, they want to have reparations to Iraq, Somalia, and Libya. They want to end capitalism. They publicly say they're trained Marxists. They've never condemned the riots, looting, or the killing and destruction in the last few weeks."
Klein added that the fear among the Jewish community is so real that "even right-wing Jewish groups groups have not attacked Black Lives Matter."
He also pointed out the attempts at appeasement of Black Lives Matter - particularly among Jewish people - saying that this premise is a key component of how the group operates.
"By defending Black Lives Matter as a group, (Jewish organizations) feel they'll be protected (and) that makes them secure," he said. "That's why so many synagogues have huge signs - 'Black Lives Matter' - thinking that’ll protect them. Appeasing evil groups like Black Lives Matter will only make things worse. They're sending a message that we’re scared to death and will embrace them, no matter what. You're only going to get more violence and terror."
He continued "Jews are scared to death of these blacks going after Jewish institutions and Jews. The last few months we've had blacks attacking Jews all over Brooklyn, Crown Heights, Jersey City, (and) Monsey. They've killed a number of Jews, and (Jews) are scared to death, and by saying nothing - and by appeasing Black Lives Matter with these statements of support - it will only make things worse."

Support Mort Klein and ZOA.
