Jewish and Proud
Yes, we at MJAC are Jewish and proud.
But what does that mean?
To us it means standing up, unapologetically, every day for ourselves as Jews and for our Jewish community.
It means not begging for acceptance from anyone for any reason.
It means rejecting partnerships with people (not naming names today) who have had to apologize for misunderstandings because something they said or tweeted was overtly anti-Semitic, but what they really meant was -
It means calling out our own Jewish leadership who have shared stages with some of these questionable individuals because, yes they disagree on some things but -
It means not putting politics ahead of our Judaism.
It means our Judaism is more than just a label to be boasted about when it's convenient. It is who we are and how we live.
I'm sure you can add to this. Please do so in the comment section.
